After completing his paediatric specialty training through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) in Melbourne and Perth, Dr. Sharma undertook further sub specialty training in paediatric gastroenterology and hepatology at The Princess Margaret Hospital for Children, Perth.
He subsequently finished clinic fellowship in paediatric gastroenterology and hepatology from the hospital for sick children, University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada.
Dr. Sharma is a member of the North American Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition(NASPGHAN), and the Gastroenterology Society of Australia (GESA).
Dr. Sharma is also accredited by conjoint committee for recognition of training in gastrointestinal endoscopy, Australia to perform endoscopic procedures (gastroscopy and colonoscopy) for children of all ages.
